Hobby Lobby Joy

I am very pleased to report that I received full time status at Hobby Lobby yesterday-this means a raise from $8  to $11 an hour PLUS benefits--like insurance options and paid vacation.  I have a real job for the first time in...maybe..EVER! LOL.
this is awesome news because I have been working my tuchas off  getting the frame shop in good working order and somebody noticed..How often does THAT happen???

The real benefit is that I love my job-- artsy, craftsy, plus power tools!!!!!

Tubing!!!!

Yeasterday Patience and I took her 3 boys snow tubing!!! we had the most bestest time!

sonw tubing has been our CHRISTMAS tradition for about 17 or 18 years and we have missed only about 3 years in that span--due to weather (or the fact that I was in Pennsyvania at grad school)

In the olden days we went on Christmas day--more recently we switched to Christmas eve or thereabouts as married kids have different obligations etc. etc--- THIS year we could not find a suitable day near the holidays at all so we kinda gave it up but Patience's boys did NOT!! they kept asking.....so we finally were able to go during their spring break.

We go up to the Winter Park area to the Frasier Tubing hill and it is just about the best time ever!!!!!! Spring Tubing was different than winter tubing--we went late in the day when the slightly melted snow has a chance to freeze over--by the end of our time the hill was very fast but the air temp was still comfortable and walking through the slushy puddles on the way to the lift were great fun for the youngest, Lennon--who kept falling down on purpose ( in his waterproof snowsuit!)

great times!
